Multifunctional Agriculture for Sustainable Development

This report studies the multidimensional framework of a ‘Sustainable Food System’ which aims to provide sufficient and nutritious food, while maximising climate resilience and minimising resource demands as well as negative environmental impacts. Advanced agricultural practices such as diversification of agricultural outputs, soil and water management, improved resource use efficiencies, and new agricultural technologies can ensure a sustainable food system. The report suggests that such practices can mitigate environmental risks while supplying nutritious food.
